Diane Wilson Biography by Laura Norcia
A Dakota writer, Diane is the author of a recently published novel, The Seed Keeper. She is also the author of a memoir, Spirit Car: Journey to a Dakota Past, which won a Minnesota Book Award and was selected for the One Minneapolis, One Read program, as well as a nonfiction book, Beloved Child: A Dakota Way of Life, which was awarded the Barbara Sudler Award from History Colorado. Additional awards include a Bush Foundation Fellowship from Minnesota State Arts Board, the Jerome Foundation & the East Central Regional Arts Council, as well as a 50 Over 50 Award from Pollen/Midwest.
Her novel, The Seed Keeper can be found at most libraries and signed copies may be purchased online or in person at Bank Square Books in Mystic. The Savoy Bookshop & Cafe in Westerly, or at Title IX: A Bookstore in New London.
Diane is enrolled on the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota and lives in Minnesota.
