Calling all Makers to showcase what you make! Makers are people who make things: artists, artisans, craftspeople, DIYers, or tech & robotics creators. Making runs the gamut from crocheting to coding, blacksmithing to bookbinding, woodworking to weaving, and 3D printing to watercolors, and includes STEAM and STEM projects as well.

Join us for the first gathering of our region’s makers and maker businesses that will be demonstrating and selling their works. The Ledyard High Cyber Colonels and their robot will be present, and two 3D printers will be running. Event attendees can try their hand at several projects, such as weaving on a cardboard loom, or designing your own button with our button maker.  There will also be a Lego building table, and children’s activities at the Friends of Ledyard Libraries’ table.

If you, your business, or non-profit group would like to demonstrate a Maker activity, please contact Andrea at abuka@ledyard.lioninc.org, 860-464-9912, or fill out the Maker Day registration form MakerDayForm2017.  We look forward to seeing your creativity at this fun community event.

Coordinated by the Maker and Summer Reading Programs.
